How to Get Compliments on Your Baking or Cooking

Moms work hard, and sometimes, it is without a whole lot of notice.

Well...here is a fun and quick way to garner some compliments, even if you have to hear them second hand.

Step 1 -- Make some delicious homemade treats. From scratch is best, but do whatever you feel comfortable with.

Step 2 -- Let your family have a little bit of the treats, but not all of them!

Step 3 -- Send all of the "leftovers" of your baking to work with your husband. Instruct him that you want to hear what people had to say about them.

Step 4 -- Feel uber appreciated when your husband comes home with an empty tupperware and lots of compliments to pass along to you. (And, as a double bonus, your husband gets to feel extra special hearing everyone compliment his wife's baking!)

Okay...I know, I know...we shouldn't do things just to be praised. But, darn it -- every so often, it's a nice treat...for everyone! (And, it's a great thing to do if you're trying out new recipes as well!)

Our motto here (as far as baked goodies goes) is "Take it to work...they'll eat it!" So goes the left over birthday cakes, school cookies, etc. to work.

my husband takes leftovers from dinner in to work for his lunch. he's had offers from people who want to give him their lunch money if he'll bring in some for them too. it totally makes my day to hear that :)

WOW! I like this idea. It really shows the ingenious female mind. Feeling down, go buy a hat ... or bake some goodies! :)
