You may have read this before -- I had. But, I just got it again, and it cracked me up again.

Words Women Use
1.) FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour.Five Minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five moreminutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means somethingand you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usuallyend in fine.
4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
5.) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statementoften misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are anidiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)
6.) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a womencan make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.
8.) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying !@!* YOU!
9.) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "what's wrong", for the woman's response, refer to # 3.

Funny Email I Received: Words Women Use
Blogs of Interest on Sidebar or Not
Just curious -- do you have "blogs of interest" or something like that along on a side bar or not? I have them on there as I have used them in the past for keeping track of blogs I enjoy. But, now I don't use that list anymore -- I have pretty much everything listed in the side bar (plus some) in my Google Reader instead.
But...I hate to just delete the blog list, in case other people follow blogs from there.
Oh...the dilemma!
What do *you* do?
Tasty Tuesday: Chicken Rice Casserole (Crockpot)
Per commenter request, I am posting the recipe of this Chicken Rice Casserole (for the crockpot). I thought, "Well -- it's Tuesday, why not post it as my recipe for the week?") This is not a recipe I came up with, but it is tasty. I like to serve it with something like green beans.
Ingredients:
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup margarine, melted
6 oz box of Uncle Ben's Long Grain and Wild Rice (Original Recipe) -- uncooked
4 1/2 oz jar of mushrooms (I usually buy a slightly larger jar than that)
10 oz can cooked chicken
Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients in the crockpot. Cover. Cook on high for two hours or until the rice is tender.
Tackle It Tuesday: Extreme Edition
Welcome to my Tackle It Tuesday: Extreme Edition. Last week, when I did my first Tackle It Tuesday, I spent probably a little over an hour on it (cleaning out my refrigerator -- washing all the bins and shelves, etc.). This Extreme Edition was not done so quickly, and it was not just done on Tuesday. This little project started with me picking some things up at the store on Friday, and then working on it a little/a lot at a time on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and then finished it on Tuesday!
As anyone with large expanses of flat spaces knows -- they just collect STUFF. We have a counter that separates our kitchen from the dining room (which is also part of the open concept so it runs into the living room). This is not the first time that I have tackled clearing off the counter, I promise you that. Each time, I think it's for good. I will pray that this time, because I did some things that I haven't done before, that the counter will become a more manageable place.
Brace yourself -- the before pictures are not pretty!

So...why is it that it took so long to clean up the counter? It's because I didn't just go for the cosmetics of it. I looked at the roots of the issue (hence the notebook in the last picture, which I will explain)
Actually -- apart from a bit of clearing, that notebook was my first project. You see...I have a problem with a lot of paper in this house. It sits everywhere, and it gets lost. So, my idea to get it organized came from this wonderful "Works for Me Wednesday" posting. I kept thinking about it, and FINALLY got around to doing it. I couldn't believe how many papers went into my notebook. I cleared off big areas of papers just by knowing that they either needed to be in the notebook, in the filing cabinet, or in the trash. In just the few days that I have had the notebook put together, I have used it many, many times. WooHoo! I think this will finally help to solve my paper issues. I'm SO psyched!
Okay, so...why else did this take so long? See that plastic rolling cart in some of the pictures? That all got sorted through too! And, because old receipts were piling up in it, that meant I finally balanced my checkbook again (and then got rid of receipts I didn't need AND then figured out a fabulous way to organize my recipes so that they don't just sit in any available drawer until I finally throw them away). Oh...AND I organized that plastic letter holder thingee too (and the small basket behind it too!). Nothing was allowed to just gather up junk -- everything in my path was organized, even if it meant taking time away from what seemed to be the issue to balance my checkbook. Extreme Tackle It Tuesday at its best!
Wish me luck to keep up with this because -- darn it -- it feels nice to look in my kitchen now (especially since, as you may notice, this is my headquarters!).
And, admittedly, I'm already thinking, "Where is my next Extreme Tackle It Tuesday spot going to be?"
