Organizing My Desk and Binders (Tackle It Tuesday #15)

I recently found a small black filing cabinent on clearance at Walmart for $20, and was thrilled, as it was just what I was looking for to put next to my desk! (On a side note, it was originally $39.97, and while it is fine for a $20 filing cabinet, I definitely don't think it was worth $40.)

Anyway, getting this filing cabinet motivated me to finally try to clean my desk off. Granted, I know it has the good potential of being a mess again in a week (or less!), but I thought it would give it a try.

Because I was moving around files, I actually took the time to go through files. I did some consolidating of files, as well as getting rid of things we didn't need anymore, before I moved things from the single file drawer of my desk (we have another filing cabinet elsewhere) to the new filing cabinet.

While doing this, I found lots of things that I had pulled out of magazines. I found crafts, recipes, and just general good ideas. I figured I had had them in a stack long enough, so I also worked on the binders that I already had, as well as starting a couple of new ones.

So, although this could have been a quick tackle of just hiding things in drawers, this tackle ended with organized binders, organized drawers, and a clear desk top. What a joy!
